MusicDance is a performance residency for dancers and musicians supported by Theatre Arts since 2018. Now in its sixth year the project draws together artists from diverse genres and backgrounds. The emphasis of the work is interdisciplinary and real-time composition. Audience are invited to witness the forging of exciting new collaborations and unique expressions in live music and dance performance. MusicDance n 2018 spearheaded by dancers Manuela Lucia Tessi (IT-NL) and Thalia Laric (ZA). Musicians Coila-Leah Enderstein (ZA), Vintani Nafassi (MZ), Sumalgy Nuro (MZ) and Garth Erasmus (ZA) are part of the core team of artists each year. The project has been joined since the beginning by photographer Lindsey Appolis, and lighting designer Frans Mandilakhe Zunguze.
